Official Price County Record Paths
Different questions belong with different custodians. The Price County Sheriff and jail hold County custody and booking material. The court handles public case administration after filing, while the Wisconsin Department of Corrections covers its own state custody and supervision population. The contacts below are official starting points, not a guarantee that a requested record will be released or that a listed status is final.

The jail operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. That does not mean the records unit processes requests at all hours. For an existing County booking record, incident report, or photograph, use the official Sheriff open-records request form. The published fees are $1 per page for photographs and reports, $10 for a CD or DVD, $2 for a fax return, plus postage. The form says photographs cannot be sent by e-mail.

WCCA can show public parties, dates, filings, orders, events, and disposition-related information. It is not a current jail roster or a booking-photo source, and sealed, confidential, or redacted material can be limited from public view.
The following routes distinguish current custody from later court or state-custody information.
- For a person the County may currently hold, use the official Price County Current Inmate List. It is a current-custody card roster, not a released-person archive or a historical booking search.
- For a county-jail custody or release notification, use WI VINE or call 1-888-944-8463. It concerns participating county-jail custody and is not a warrant search.
- For a person in Wisconsin DOC custody or supervision, use the Wisconsin DOC Locator. It does not answer who was just booked at the Price County Jail.
- For a federal prisoner or an immigration detainee, use the separate BOP Inmate Locator or ICE Online Detainee Locator System. Neither is a Price County booking record.
- For a Park Falls or other municipal police incident report, contact the agency or city custodian that holds that record. A County jail booking photo remains a Sheriff records question.
